Hello, my name is Hiroe Zarich. After many years of traveling to and living in different parts of the world, I finally came to the conclusion that my hometown and surrounding area had everything that I wanted. The Ise area has beautiful nature, great food, and a rich history and culture. I also love the fact that Ise is considered the center of Japanese spirituality. The Ise area is not as well known to foreign visitors as perhaps Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto but visitors to our hometown can experience something special that they could not get anywhere else in Japan. There are many things I plan to write about through my English blog. I hope my firsthand experiences can, at a minimum, build more interest in my hometown and contribute some insight to anyone interested in exploring one of Japan’s truly special places.
